a happy ‘lil sprout
Remember those virtual pets that used roam around on your Windows 95 desktop and leave little poops all over the screen?
In summer 2020 we were all living our lives through various computers screens and I started thinking about how I could make my own virtual space a little more cozy. At the same time, I started a new hobby where I would buy a beautiful, bushy plant from the hardware store, pick a special spot for it in my home, then promptly let it die from neglect.
And thus the vitual_plant was born. This variegated marble pothos lives (and sometimes dies) on your very own computer’s desktop. Place it over icons, ontop of application windows, or just minimize it when you want to watch Netflix. No need for sunlight! Simply left click on your virtual_plant and hit “water” when it starts to droop.
look at her go!
Keep your virtual_plant well watered and it will sparkle with happiness. Keep it happy long enough and it will grow for you! If neglect your virtual_plant however, it will shrivel up and die. No worries though…simply left click and hit “exit” to get a whole new plant (free of charge).
