
Julia Bloom is a data scientist, artist, and educator based in NYC. Her digital work explores the proliferation of data in public spaces and the gap created between data-driven narratives and lived experience. She has worked as an academic researcher, program evaluator, and technology instructor, and is currently a co-curator and organizer at Data x Design. Julia earned her BA at McGill University and is a graduate of Columbia’s Quantitative Methods in Social Science Masters (QMSS) program. When away from her computer she can usually be found painting, knitting, or climbing rocks.
